- Easter Sunday, April 8th, 10:00-11:00 AM - Easter in El Prado Park
-
Mr. & Mrs. Bunny arrived at El Prado Park (corner of El Prado & Arlington Ave.) on Easter Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for the 26th Annual Easter Candy Hunt and Bunny Hop Bop. Seeing the children having so much fun was a great way to start the day. Paper sacks were provided for gathering goodies for those who didn't bring their own baskets.
Children were divided into three groups; one for toddlers 3 years of age and younger, one for ages 4-7 and one for ages 8-11. Note: The candy hunt was for children 11 years and younger only.
There was a special section called "Peggy's Patch" for children 3 and under. This area is dedicated to OTNA's past President, Peggy Basile, who passed away on Easter, 2006. However, before she received her angel wings, she was there to watch over the little bunnies as they searched for treats that morning.
One of the goals of the OTNA is to foster an atmosphere of community spirit and neighborliness, and we strive to preserve a positive atmosphere in the center of Old Torrance through activities such as Easter in El Prado Park.
The OTNA thanks our corporate sponsor for the 26th Annual Easter in El Prado Park,

Our featured speaker was LM Pacific Properties. We heard an overview of their plans to develop the property located at 2154 Torrance Blvd., which currently consists of the Pacific Bell office building and the adjacent parking lot on the east side of Arlington. The plan includes demolition of the existing building and construction of approximately 15,000 square feet of neighborhood retail shopping and office space, split between both lots. The project will be designed to complement the architectural style of downtown Old Torrance and offer a new gateway to our neighborhood.
New officers were elected for 2007.
